Celebrating Women in Business at the 14th Annual NewRoads Girls Night Out

On March 6, 2025, the NewRoads Performing Arts Centre was transformed into a glamorous tribute to New York City for the 14th Annual NewRoads Girls Night Out. Themed A Night at the Plaza Hotel and held in recognition of International Women’s Day, the event blended elegance, laughter, and community spirit. Guests were welcomed by doormen in top hats and white gloves before stepping into a sparkling lobby that felt straight out of Manhattan. There, they enjoyed wine, themed appetizers from A Million Mouthfuls Catering, and plenty of opportunities to capture memories at on-theme photo stations.

A major highlight of the evening was the marketplace - a showcase of more than 20 women-owned businesses from across the region. From handmade goods to local services, guests had the chance to shop, meet the entrepreneurs, and discover new favorites. Each vendor represented the creativity, resilience, and drive of women who power local business communities. The atmosphere was lively, with raffle prizes generously donated by community supporters adding to the excitement.

Jennifer Ritter, President and CEO of the Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation, hosted the evening with warmth and enthusiasm. Entertainment included a high-energy performance by Artistica Dance Studio and an engaging keynote from Jenn Walker, who shared a heartfelt message about empowerment and embracing womanhood.

All proceeds from the event benefited Girls Inc., an organization dedicated to inspiring girls to be strong, smart, and bold. With hundreds of locations across North America, Girls Inc. continues to provide young women with mentorship, education, and leadership opportunities that help them thrive.

By the end of the night, the crowd’s energy was so high that even the bar needed restocking - proof of an incredible turnout and a joyful atmosphere. A few men joined the celebration too, happily surrounded by a room full of inspiring women. Thanks to the ongoing support of community partners and attendees, Girls Night Out remains a shining example of what happens when women come together to support one another - in business, in life, and in purpose.
