Who Decides the Recipients?
Medals are awarded through partner organizations carefully selected by the Government of Canada. These partners are responsible for nominating and presenting the medals to eligible individuals.

To be considered for this prestigious recognition, nominees must have made a significant contribution to Canada, their province, territory, region or community - or achieved exceptional accomplishments abroad that bring credit to Canada.
